The beauty of a smile
Your smile is the foundation of your charm and personality. Since 2005, the Dental Center of Excellence has complemented Laclinic-Montreux’s cutting-edge medical-aesthetic and anti-aging offering with a shared ideal of medical excellence. Our dental center experts work in close collaboration with the facility’s doctors and aesthetic surgeons to enhance the natural beauty of your face.
Health as an essential prelude
Dental aesthetics cannot be conceived without a healthy foundation. First and foremost, your dentist will make sure you are in perfect oral health. Our specialists at the Laclinic Dental Center of Excellence offer comprehensive care for the rehabilitation of your oral sphere, with a team of experts in all areas of dentistry: implantology, periodontics, hygiene and more.
And, of course, our experts are happy to provide long-term support for your periodic inspections and hygiene appointments.
The Laclinic Dental Center offers you holistic, personalized care. Long-term support to maintain the health and beauty of your smile.
Orthodontics
The aim of orthodontics is to correct misaligned teeth. As part of orthodontic treatment, invisible braces (ALIGNERS) or orthodontic aligners are used to progressively align teeth in a discreet and aesthetic way. These are known as “aligners”.
IMPLANTOLOGY
Implants make it possible to replace missing teeth without having to prepare the teeth adjacent to the gap. Titanium or ceramic implants enable us to offer you comfortable and aesthetic fixed solutions.
FACES
Veneers are thin ceramic shells applied to the outer surface of the teeth. Veneers allow you to modify the aesthetics of your smile with minimal preparation of the teeth. Ceramic ensures a stable aesthetic result, and permanently retains the original shade.
Bleaching
Tooth whitening can be performed in the office or at home with custom-made trays. These treatments are atraumatic for the teeth.
OTHER TREATMENTS
Composites
Composites have replaced amalgam fillings for many years. These resins are comparable in color to natural teeth, and preserve as much of the healthy tooth tissue as possible.
Dental hygiene
Maintaining good dental health is vital to the preservation of your teeth. Poor periodontal health has a detrimental effect on general health (cardiovascular disease, lung disease, diabetes, etc.).
Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices, such as the EMS prophylaxis master, so our hygienists will gently care for your teeth, removing tartar and plaque that build up in hard-to-reach areas during daily brushing.
Our hygienists take regular x-rays to check for interdental caries and examine the stability of the bone level around teeth and implants. Our practice is also equipped with a camera for cavity detection without the use of X-rays. The camera is an aid to diagnosis, but in no way replaces X-rays.
Inlays / onlays
For larger dental restorations, a ceramic inlay or onlay is fabricated by the dental technician. These indirect fillings provide a more aesthetic and functional result than a conventional large composite.
Crowns and bridges
When the tooth is too badly damaged (severe decay, fracture, loose crown, etc.), a crown must be designed to cover the tooth. We produce all-ceramic crowns (emax or zirconia), which have the advantage of being both solid and aesthetically pleasing.
To replace a missing tooth, a bridge or an implant followed by a crown can be used.
When several teeth are missing, an extensive bridge supported by dental abutments, or implants, can also be considered.
Phobias and anxiety
If you’re a phobic or over-anxious patient who refuses to be treated, we can perform all dental procedures under sedation or general anaesthetic. If this applies to you, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss in greater detail the solutions available to meet your needs.
2D and 3D radiography: Cone beam / CBCT
CT scanning is an essential tool in dentistry, enabling anatomical structures to be visualized and thus aiding diagnosis. In implantology, it enables precise visualization of available bone volume and highlights anatomical obstacles to be avoided. CT scans reduce the risk of intra- and post-operative complications.
In endodontics, when the usual intra-oral X-rays are in doubt, a CT scan provides a clearer picture of periapical infections. It also helps determine which roots need to be treated, and whether additional canals need to be sought and treated.
Endodontics: treatments and root removals
Endodontics treats the vitality of the tooth by removing the pulp, made up of vessels and nerve fibres. In particular, the pulp is responsible for sensing temperature variations. When the carious lesion is too extensive, bacteria contaminate the pulp, and disinfection of the root canals generally becomes necessary (root canal treatment). Without this special treatment, infection can develop at the root tip, causing severe pain.
Periodontology
The periodontium is the supporting tissue of the teeth. Its good health is essential for their preservation.
Gingivitis is the first stage of periodontal decay, and manifests itself as mild inflammation of the gums. It is often bacterial in origin, and is reversible with the restoration of proper oral hygiene and professional cleaning by our dental hygienist. Untreated gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, which is a more profound attack on the periodontium, with bone loss that can lead to tooth loss. Treatment consists of tartar removal and perfect oral hygiene. Regular check-ups and scaling drastically reduce the risk of periodontitis (a minimum of one visit per year is recommended).
When the periodontium is affected, we are able to carry out various types of treatment to stabilize and, if possible, regenerate the periodontium. In the case of bone, different types of bio-materials enable us to regenerate it. For the gingiva, gingival grafting techniques enable us to cover uncovered roots.
Digital footprints
In order to reduce the inaccuracies inherent in all stages of traditional impression processing and fixed prosthesis fabrication, our practice has equipped itself with a digital impression camera. This technology is advantageous and more comfortable for our patients, as it eliminates the impression paste that usually causes vomiting reflexes. The laboratory downloads the impressions directly as a digital file and can then proceed with high-precision fabrication of fixed or removable prostheses.
our holistic approach
A complete intervention at Laclinic typically takes place in three stages.
Step 1: Oral examination
The complete check-up includes X-rays using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Panoramic Code-Beam X-ray, pocket probing, deep scaling, polishing with stain and discoloration removal, mucosal and dental examination and occlusal examination.
Stage 2: Rehabilitation
Depending on the case, this may include root canal treatment, root planing, bone filling or gingival grafting. Involving experts from various fields if necessary to solve even the most complex problems.
Step 3 Aesthetic improvements
Aesthetic enhancement proposals supported by digital simulation tools. Crowns, veneers, whitening, orthodontics, a combination of different techniques to enhance your smile. Coordinated intervention with other Laclinic specialists for harmonious facial enhancement.
